Today we have the final installment of our three-part Leadership Series for you, where we’ve been discussing how to build a winning team. In this special series we interview extraordinary leaders, and not necessarily just business owners, and we’ve already highlighted leaders in the film industry as well as a leader in the field of athletics. In this episode, Jen talks with our friend, the amazing Erika Wykes-Sneyd, about how to be an egoless leader and turn ANY team into champions, which is something she has a lot of insight in!
Erika is the Vice President of Adidas’ Three Stripes Studio, and since joining the company in 2021 as the Vice President of Originals Basketball and Partnerships, her dedication to embracing cultural change and disruption underpinned the move to her current role as the founder and head of the brand’s dedicated Web 3 team. Erika has an extensive resume, including roles with Google, Boeing, Uber and more, and in this episode, she reveals the ways in which she shows up as a leader, how has been able to overcome imposter syndrome along her journey, and Erika shares her structures, strategies and formulas for turning teams around and motivating others in this process!

Today we have Part 2 of our Leadership Series for you, where we’re discussing how to build a winning team. In this special series, Jen and I are interviewing extraordinary leaders, and not necessarily just business owners. This time we’re featuring Jen’s highschool volleyball coach, Michael Kane, who she credits for helping her become the performance coach that she is today!
Coach Michael Kane has an impressive resume that includes 6 State Championship titles and with over 800 wins he is one of the winningest coaches in Texas volleyball history. Michael is the Director of Austin Performance Volleyball and Head Coach of Dripping Springs High School, and he has accomplished many accolades over the course of over two decades as a coach. Michael’s teams have qualified 9 times for the Junior Olympic Championships, and he has 22 consecutive playoff appearances with 9 Final Four appearances, as well as training over 40 Division I collegiate athletes.
Micheal is a motivational speaker who has committed his entire career to both high school and club volleyball programs and players, but what stood out the most to us during this conversation was just how humble of a man Michael is and the amazing example of egoless leadership he displays, and we can’t wait for you to learn from him today!
